The PantoRouter® ULTRA-SHEAR® Variable-Helix router bits are specifically designed for use on the PantoRouter but also offer significant advantage for other woodworking router applications. The bits feature a 30º spiral upcut that gradually flattens to 5º at the tip to maximize dust extraction while giving the operator superior control while cutting. These bits have quickly become our new go-to router bits for the PantoRouter®, our small CNC used for prototyping, our Router Table, and more!

The PantoRouter® ULTRA-SHEAR® Variable-Helix Essential Bit Pack has the most common sizes for use on the PantoRouter and other router applications in the wood shop.

It’s not common, but if you ever have a need for ½” diameter bits with a longer cut length than our standard ones, we offer some variable-helix bits with 2” and 2½” cut length. These long bits will somewhat degrade the PantoRouter’s superior dust collection in favor of the longer cut length for tenons, but for some operations it can be worth the compromise.
