Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: What is the difference between the ProPack and All-In package? And what does the basic package include?
A: The ProPack contains what we consider essential templates, clamps and the centering-scale fence. The All-In package adds the ability to make 154 sizes or mortise and tenon plus the slot mortise template and monster mortise and tenon set to make ¾” and 1” M&T. The All-In package has all of our most popular accessories and is the choice of over 95% of new customers.
The Basic PantoRouter Woodworking Machine is stripped down and only recommended as a second PantoRouter Woodworking Machine in the shop or for use in a manufacturing facility where the PantoRouter Woodworking Machine is dedicated to a single operation.
Q: Can the PantoRouter All-In Package be shipped outside North America?
A: Yes! We regularly ship to Australia and New Zealand and we can ship elsewhere the All-In Package is not offered by regional resellers.

Q: What does the Vertical Template Holder Adapter do and how is it used?
A: The Vertical Template Holder Adapter mounts on the primary template holder with the same size slots oriented vertically. Most any of our templates can be mounted on it so joinery can be cut vertically instead of horizontally. This can be especially useful for angled and compound-angled mortise and tenon, and multiple adapters can be mounted to the template holder if needed.
The idea behind this accessory is to let your creativity be the limit to your project, not the tool. This adapter makes dozens more sizes and shapes possible on the PantoRouter woodworking joinery machine.
Q: What is the maximum size workpiece I can use for mortise and tenon?
A: The practical limit of the tenon workpiece is 8" wide X 4" tall (200mm X 100mm). The tenon would be something less than this depending on your router bit. For instance, using a custom template, a 7" X 3" tenon could be cut on the maximum 8" X 4" workpiece, and the corresponding mortise could be cut into most any size that could fit on the table.
Dovetails and Box Joints can be any length if they are indexed and the workpiece moved between cuts. (See the video about this made by Cosmas. It's in our Videos and Tutorials section) The best way to index is to use a spoil board fixed to the table so the last one or two dovetails from the former set can be matched perfectly to the index board.
Q: What is the size of the Table on the PantoRouter Woodworking Machine and how big a workpiece can I use?
A: The table is 17 ⅛” x 11 ¾” (435mm x 300mm). Most any size workpiece can be mounted on the PantoRouter Woodworking Machine with supports at the end, just as you would locate a workpiece on a chop saw or drill press. We have a video about making Krenov-Style Sawhorses including a support the same height as the table. Please see the Videos page on our site.
Q: What is the size of the assembled PantoRouter Woodworking Machine?
A: The PantoRouter is about 27" long X 20" wide X 18" tall (686mm X 508mm X 457mm). By storing the PantoRouter Woodworking Machine with the table tilted up 45°, the length is shortened to 24" (610mm)
Q: What are the shipping dimensions and weight?
A: The Pantorouter Woodworking Machine is shipped in two boxes. The larger box contains the main PantoRouter Woodworking Machine and the smaller box has the assembly hardware, templates, fence, bits, router and clamps depending on which package was purchased. The larger box is 32”x22”x10” and weighs 47 pounds. The smaller box is 20”x14”x12” and weighs about 27 pounds.
We always ship both boxes together on a master tracking number, but occasionally the packages get separated by the courier and arrive on different dates. You will be able to track each box once the courier picks-up and scans the box labels.
Q: What is the lead time for shipping?
A: We typically ship the same day or the day following an order. We ship from the West Coast USA and deliveries to the East Coast generally take 5 days with closer addresses taking 2-4 days.
Q: Do you ship to Canada and Mexico?
A: Yes, we ship to both Canada and Mexico by UPS International ground, or for smaller packages by USPS. Our cartons need to go through customs and tax, duty and brokerage fees are paid by the recipient.
Q: Can I order a 230 Volt router with my PantoRouter?
A: Yes! We have a 230 Volt 50/60Hz router in our online store and our All-In Package can be purchased with this router. This is only for export to. countries without 110 VAC 50/60 Hz
Q: What size outlet is the dust collector?
A: The dust collector hood is 1-9/16" (40mm) outside diameter. This size accommodates many standard fittings available on shop vacuums. We include a 5’ section of high quality hose with our ProPack and All-In packages with a hose end that perfectly fits the dust hood. The other end can be adapted to your shop vac hose or to a cyclone separator inlet.
We do not recommend inserting the hose end into the inside of the hood outlet port. This arrangement is possible with Festool and Mirka vacuum hoses but substantially reduces the port square area, which often causes clogging.
Q: My dust collector brush is badly crunched! How do I straighten it?
A: Bad hair day? Don't worry, it's very easy to fix. Simply immerse it in warm water or very gently blow warm air from a hair dryer over the bristles and it will straighten. Do not use too much heat, and always store the brush so it's straight and nothing is resting on it.
Q: How do I calculate the size for custom templates?
A: We have an explanation, an easy to use formula and an Excel sizing tool in our Support Section. Click Here to learn more.
Q: Are the newer accessory items useable on older PantoRouters?
A: Yes! With only a couple of exceptions, all of the accessories available on our site are backward compatible. Those that aren't have equivalent accessories to fit your model. Call us and we can help you find the solution to your woodworking joinery problem.
