How-To Guides
Our How-To Guides & Videos will help you to learn how to use the PantoRouter Woodworking Machine.
Have fun with it, and like all shop tools, always follow the warning placards and instructions. We've compiled all of our How-To Guides into a single downloadable PDF and we've printed it for those who prefer a hard copy. In addition to the How-To-Guides listed separately below, our compiled version has information on setting the thickness gage, scribing the table, and using the centering-scale fence. We added a bit and guide bearing selection tool and we feature some of our limited edition templates. It's free to download to see all you can do with the PantoRouter or you can order a printed copy from our online store.

Dust collector
The patented Dust Collector is a major improvement to the performance and user experience of the PantoRouter Woodworking Machine. Without it, dust and shavings are thrown up to 10 feet in several directions of the cutting bit, and the operator is often covered with shavings.

Template, Bit and Guide Bearing Selection Tool
The variety of joinery and decorative patterns possible with the PantoRouter™ Woodworking Machine is limited only by your imagination. With some simple math, you can calculate template sizes and how different guide bearings and bit diameters would work with them.
Matthias created a good video explaining this.
The formula is fairly simple to use.
Add the desired tenon thickness to the router bit diameter and multiply times 2, then subtract the guide bearing diameter to find the template height.
Example:
Desired tenon thickness is 1/2"
Your router bit is 1/2" diameter
Your guide bearing is 7/8" (22mm) diameter
((1/2" tenon thickness + 1/2" bit diam) X 2) - 7/8" (22mm) guide bearing diam = 1-1/8" template height
The length of the template is figured the same way.
Add the desired tenon length to the router bit diameter and multiply times 2, then subtract the guide bearing diameter to find the template length.
In this graphic example, a 5/8" bit is used with a 1" guide bearing to make a 1/2" tenon.
We have also developed a tool to help you get started for simple mortise and tenon work.

Router Selection Guide
We recommend a dedicated router for your PantoRouter™ Woodworking Machine.
You’re more likely to use your PantoRouter™ Woodworking Machine often if it’s always ready to go.
