We like the look of 10° dovetails so we made both a new template and bit to cut them on the PantoRouter®.

This is not a typical carbide-tipped bit. It’s a Solid Carbide Spiral Upcut bit made for us by ULTRA-SHEAR® in Ohio. The huge advantages to this new design are smoother and faster cut, lower vibration, and less burning. The advanced design also significantly quiets the cut and extends bit life.

Our 10° Variably-Spaced Through-Dovetail Templates are made at PantoRouter HQ of ABS plastic and carry a limited lifetime warranty for wear. (See our website for warranty details) They operate slightly differently than many of our other templates and are even faster and easier to mount using a single screw in each template to secure it to the template holder.

The 10° Spiral bit has a longer cut length at 0.78” and a ½” shank to make it more robust than ¼” shank bits common in the industry.
