REcessed Drawer Pulls

Project Description
Recessed Drawer Pulls
Special materials or other equipment used in this project
No Special Equipment, I did however decided to actually create a custom mortise template. I orginally utilzed the "E" size mortise and tenon template, but had to be very careful following the template. Decided on custom mortise template to restrict guide bearing movement which made process even faster and more controlled.
Tell us how you used the PantoRouter in this project
I had been struggling to figure a way to make recessed finger pulls for drawer faces. I’ve used a lot of scrap wood in building a moveable frame for MFTs, and wanted to keep all sides flush with MFT to accommodate clamping work to sides of MFT. It finally dawned on me that the Panto-Router was the perfect solution. It actually took less than 30 minutes to create recessed finger pulls for 3 drawer faces. Think it would have been even faster if I had a large mortise type template to ensure the boundary of the bearing was restricted.
I've used the PantoRouter for mortise and tenons on many occasions, but the idea of a recessed drawer pull was pretty cool!
